Basic Learning Processes

The subject that I liked studying corresponds to the Basic Learning Processes, since they teach me about the stimuli that influence each feeling or action that we carry out in everyday life.

I enjoy it, because the teachers transmit the knowledge to me in a very clear and precise way, through easy-to-understand examples and videos.

I have learned very interesting things, such as classical and operant conditioning, which explain the association of different stimuli, which make us feel something or perform certain actions. In addition, they taught me about fears and phobias, which must be treated through exposure therapy, that is, they make you face the cause of that fear in various contexts.

Before studying it, I thought it would be more boring and it would not appeal to me as much, I just thought that they would teach me about learning theory, but in the end I really liked this subject and the teachers' way of teaching. . I hope to continue learning about these topics as they are very interesting.

How Can My Major Make the World a Better?

I am studying psychology, I have not yet chosen the specialty, but for the moment clinical child-adolescent psychology catches my attention. In this way I will be able to attend and help those who are the fundamental pillars of our society.

My specialization would affect the world in a positive way, since it helps children and adolescents to maintain or regain their well-being, preventing some problems from increasing and affecting them throughout their lives.

In this process, I imagine myself being very active and providing help to those who need it most and lack the financial resources to access psychological care. In particular, I would go to homes for minors, because they have a very crude childhood, which then has a very negative impact on their lives.

My major contributes to the world, since it fosters the development of long-term stable mental health, which is very important in a world full of adversity, in this way, children will have emotional well-being and will be able to transmit it. to the next generations.

A Photo and its Story

This photo means a lot to me, it represents a trip to the beach that lasted 1 week, and I went with my boyfriend, my family, my cousin and my uncles. It was difficult for me to find a photo of everyone together there, because it is true that when we spent it well we forgot to take photos, but I can clearly remember many events that we experienced. In the first place we arrived at a very scary cabin, paranormal things happened to all of us those two days, but when we moved to the other cabin everything was spectacular. In the mornings we went to walk to the beach, in the afternoons we went back to playing soccer, we went to eat in restaurants, and at night we had fun by the sea, listening to music and drinking. 

This photo of a sunset, was taken by my dad with his camera while we were playing soccer, and I am interested because it is a very beautiful landscape that reminds me of all the wonderful moments that I lived, but without a doubt what made me enjoy the most was good company. I would repeat a thousand times this trip <3.
